Ryviu Try-On
Terms of service
These terms apply to stores that install Ryviu: Virtual Try-On from the Shopify App Store. Installing or using the app means the store accepts them. Last updated 22 October 2026.
The service
- The app adds a Try it on button to the product pages a store chooses and creates AI previews of products on a shopper's photo or on the store's model photos. Previews are illustrations; fit and colour may differ from the real product.
- Plans and usage charges are shown in the app and billed by Shopify. A store can change or cancel its plan in the app at any time.
The store's part
- Use the app lawfully, and only with product and model images the store has the right to use.
- Tell shoppers in the store's own privacy notice that it uses a virtual try-on provider. Our privacy policy describes what the app does.
Data protection
For personal data of the store's customers and visitors, the store is the controller and we process it on the store's behalf. We:
- process it only to provide the app's features, as described in the privacy policy, and never sell it or use it for advertising or to train models;
- keep it only as long as the privacy policy states: shopper photos and results up to 24 hours, records up to 13 months, and everything for a store once Shopify asks us to erase it after uninstall;
- act on Shopify's customer data requests and erasure requests, and help the store answer its customers' requests;
- encrypt data in transit and at rest, and limit access to the people who run the service;
- use these service providers to run the app: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), and OpenAI, Google (Gemini) or FASHN to create try-on images;
- tell the store without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting its data.
Availability and liability
- We work to keep the app available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees the store paid for the app in the three months before the claim.
- We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and material changes are announced in the app.
