Ryviu Try-On
Privacy policy
Ryviu Try-On lets shoppers see a product on a photo of themselves, or on a model photo chosen by the store. This page explains what that involves. Last updated 19 October 2026.
Shoppers' photos
- A photo is uploaded only when the shopper chooses one, right under a notice that uploading means agreeing to its processing for that try-on and its deletion within 24 hours.
- The browser shrinks the photo and re-encodes it before upload, which removes embedded data such as location and device.
- The photo and the generated image are used only to create that try-on. Both are deleted automatically within 24 hours.
- We do not ask for or store the shopper's name, email or any account. We do not use photos to train models, and the store never sees a shopper's photo or result.
- To create the image, the photo is sent to an AI image provider acting on our behalf: OpenAI, Google (Gemini) or FASHN, depending on availability.
What we keep
- Counts of how often the Try it on button was shown and opened, with a random identifier the try-on window creates for the browser session. It is not linked to a name, email or account, and it lets the store see unique shoppers and set a per-shopper limit.
- A record of each try-on without any image: product, time, how long it took, whether it succeeded and whether the result was added to the cart. Records are deleted after 13 months.
- When an order is placed from a try-on cart, the order id and total, to report results to the store. No customer details are stored. These are deleted after 13 months, or sooner when Shopify asks us to erase a customer’s data.
Stores
- Settings, the products chosen for try-on and their images, model photos the store uploads (kept until the store removes them), and the plan.
- When a store uninstalls the app and Shopify asks us to erase its data, we delete all of it.
